The Homeless Coordinator serves all the schools within GFPS and works to get students in school as soon as possible to ensure the stability of a predictable and safe learning environment and help remove or reduce barriers to their education. The coordinator meets with families to determine needed resources. The coordinator arranges transportation and free and reduced lunch, and works with parents to locate affordable housing, employment, and agencies to help with first month’s rent and deposit. The coordinator helps families to access services and helps them get stabilized.
